The Annotated Northwest Passage lands in June!
The collected, annotated hardcover edition of the first three volumes of Northwest Passage that was supposed to be released in April will now debut in early June, at Book Expo Canada. It's a beautiful book...designer Keith Wood has really knocked himself out putting the package together. Here's a sneak peak at the cover:

First off - great to see the new site... and I'm glad you've run some of the old art in here so it'll get archived in the new format [smirk]...
As for the anotated Northwest - how much new material is there? I'm thinking it may be time to replace the original three is there's enough here to warrant...
Hi Scott,
Thanks for stopping by.
The new material consists of 31 pages of annotations, which include historical reference, behind-the-scenes information (not unlike a director's commentary,) character sketches, pencils, and other making-of kind of stuff.
These extras alone are going to be worth the price of the book...anyone interested in the history behind the story, or in how comics are made, should get a lot out of them.
Launched at Book Expo Canada? Does that mean you won't be at Paradise Toronto Comicon? Or, if you are going to be at the Paradise con, will you have any for sale there? I'm hoping to pick one up.
Also gonna add, Paradise Toronto Comicon takes place June 8th-10th, 2007, same weekend as Book Expo Canada.
Hi Jason,
Thanks for setting my dates straight. Did they change they dates for the Paradise show somewhere along the line? Or have I just had it wrong all along?
Originally I'd have said that I wasn't going to have any copies of the hardcover for the show, but now I know that it's a week later, I probably will (Oni's aiming to have them here in time for the Book Expo, which is an important part of our marketing campaign for the collection.)
See you there, and thanks again for the correction!
Okay, I lied. Latest update from Oni is that the NWP hardcover will *not* be here in time for the Paradise show. I will, likely, have one copy, though, that people will be able to look at and get excited about before it hits stores two weeks later.
Rats... I guess I'll have to wait until TCAF to get my copy. See ya in four weeks!
Well, you could buy it at a store, and just get me to *sign* it at TCAF.
Support your LCS, and all that. :)
